Cyborg machine gunners are great for mass rushing enemy artillery placements. This is due to their speed and resistance to artillery, and also the fact artillery have low HP. Seeing as a machine gunner cyborg costs $50 you can make 20 of them for $1000. They also make great decoys, drawing enemy fire while dealing damage and allowing your slower tanks to get into attack range or allowing your sensor to pick off enemy defensive structs without fear.
