Although the Hellstorm seems to outclass it as both a siege weapon and as a long range defensive artillery, Ground Shakers' range is only slightly shorter than Ripple Rockets, and they can likewise be used for counter-battery purposes. However, unlike Ripple Rockets, their usefulness seems to extend even to Tier 3, where they can rival even Archangel Missiles.

Although Archangels outclass this weapon in terms of range, the Ground Shaker has 4 notable advantages over Archangel Missiles: 1, a Ground Shaker costs $150 less than an Archangel, 2, a fully-upgraded Ground Shaker has a higher rate-of-fire than a fully-upgraded Archangel, 3, a Ground Shaker has a much larger blast radius than an Archangel, and 4, Due to their higher damage per shot, Ground Shakers can better penetrate armor than Archangels can. In fact, whereas a Dragon Archangel x2 Tracks takes 24 salvos from a fully-upgraded Archangel to destroy it, it'll take 22 shots from a fully-upgraded Ground Shaker to destroy it. While a fully-upgraded Tiger Archangel Tracks takes 19 salvos from a fully-upgraded Archangel to destroy it, it'll take only 16 shots from a fully-upgraded Ground Shaker.
